All TDP products are digital goods. Once a document or collection has been downloaded, it cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense — you retain access to the files regardless of any refund. For this reason, our refund policy is necessarily limited. Please read this carefully before purchasing.
Due to the digital and immediately-downloadable nature of all The Design Principal products, we operate a no-refund policy by default. When you purchase and download TDP documents, you receive immediate access to the full value of what you paid for.

If your payment was processed successfully but you did not receive the download link or access to your purchased files within 24 hours, please contact us immediately. We will either resolve the delivery issue or issue a full refund.
If you were charged more than once for the same order due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate charges in full.
If files delivered to you are significantly corrupted and cannot be opened with standard software (Microsoft Word, Excel, or Google Docs/Sheets), and we are unable to provide working replacements, we will issue a refund for the affected product.
If a product is significantly and materially different from its description on our website — not a minor difference in expectation, but an objective mismatch — we will review the claim and may issue a partial or full refund at our discretion.
To request a refund for any of the eligible reasons above:
We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method, subject to Razorpay's processing timelines.
If you subscribed to The Collective (monthly membership at ₹1,999/month), you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused portions of a billing period. To cancel your membership, email hello@thedesignprincipal.in.
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us to resolve an issue, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback, provide evidence of delivery and access, and permanently revoke your licence to use TDP products. Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to relevant authorities.
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under applicable Indian consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If you believe your consumer rights have been violated, you may also contact the National Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000) or approach the appropriate consumer forum.
